employees love microlearning

If your employees find it difficult to set time aside for mundane training, microlearning is the solution to all of your corporate training needs. Here are the top 5 reasons why employees love (yes, love) microlearning.

It’s time to stop sleeping with your notes under your pillow for some sort of mystical brain absorption (it’s a last resort for a lot of us), and it’s time to make the shift to a microlearning LMS. It is no surprise both employees and employers prefer microlearning, due to its ability to significantly drive employee performance and engagement.

1. Microlearning is engaging

The effective combination of mobile learning and gamification allows for the alignment of effective information absorption, with clear goals and objectives. The power of gamification motivates employees through the incorporation of the two R’s: rewards and recognition. Both of which maintain engagement and improve training completion rates.

2. It fits into the flow of work

We understand how busy life can get, which is why microlearning’s mobility and flexibility are both key for corporate training to fit into the flow of work. By this, we are referring to employees’ freedom to complete training whenever and wherever.  Ensuring that they get information when it’s needed and on their mobile device, providing them with the flexibility they need in fast-paced work environments.

3. It is stimulating

If you haven’t already heard, microlearning is the most stimulating form of corporate training.  It has begun to be implemented by a number of large multinational companies that see the efficiencies that it brings to staff training. Instead of shuffling through pages of outdated information at our desks, hoping we absorb at least the conclusion, microlearning is equally fun and challenging. Information is easily updated, meaning that the small chunks of knowledge produced in microlearning, remain relevant to the changing pace of market and industry trends.

4. It is adaptive and multigenerational

Microlearning is a highly adaptive form of learning.  Delivering short, chunked lessons allows lessons to be quickly changed and adapted to specific end learners. According to Deloitte’s 2017 Global Human Capital Trends, 42% of millennials will leave their jobs if they’re not learning fast enough, and if there’s one thing that can keep up with millennials, it’s the varying content microlearning offers to your company.

5. It records your progress

Continuous feedback is constantly provided to employees, pushing them with motivation to continue and to ‘do better’ next time. This results in continuous learning, which is the ultimate dream for any employer. Lesson feedback in mobile delivered lessons is continual and is always reinforcing learners with the correct information.
