3. Standard MEWP Training

Take advantage of Cherry Picker’s Standard MEWP training course to familiarize your workers with using self-propelled booms and mobile vertical lifts. This 1-day course dives into topics such as MEWP legislation, types and uses of MEWPs, MEWP harness, and possible hazards. Guiding your employees through these lessons will also give them the confidence that they need to operate MEWPs. Some specialized topics covered in this course include MEWP operator responsibilities, manuals, signal words, MEWP attachments, machine stability, PPEs, inspections, and functionality tests. It also expounds on proper fueling, start-up, operation, and shutdown procedures. National Training Solutions’ MEWP Training & Working at Heights course will provide your workers with pretty much everything they need to know about MEWP standards and safe operation practices. It explores the different responsibilities of MEWP operators, including daily safety checks, inspections, emergency lowering procedures, worksite hazards, and PPE selection. The course also discusses current health & safety legislation in relation to operating MEWPs. Overall, this 1-day MEWP training course has a total of six lessons, which are presented through face-to-face classes and supplemented by videos. This comprehensive course covers policies and practices that reduce risks like falls, tip-overs, electrocution, and other common hazards. It also discusses specialized topics like the types of aerial and scissor lifts, pre-and post-use inspections, and safety precautions during use. 10. Aerial Lift Training (MEWP) Online Training

With Hard Hat Training’s Aerial Lift (MEWP) Online Training course, your workers can build their knowledge about MEWP basics and develop the skills required to safely operate and maintain their machines. Through the lessons, they’ll be able to understand the functionality and components of aerial lifts, evaluate worksites for any safety hazards, and properly carry out routine maintenance and inspections. The lessons also delve into other related topics such as fall protection, scaffolding, maintenance devices, calculations, safety requirements, and test methods for MEWPs, which are all vital in preventing accidents. At the end of this 2-hour MEWP training course, your workers will have two opportunities to pass a final assessment.
