This refresher training is an overview of allergen awareness in New York by exploring topics such as the importance of food allergy awareness, common allergens, front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) procedures, and emergency response during allergic reactions. By the end of the lesson, participants are expected to understand the significance of identifying and managing food allergens, implementing proper FOH and BOH practices to prevent cross-contact, and responding effectively to allergy emergencies. Participants will also gain the knowledge and skills to create a safe dining environment for all customers while ensuring compliance with related laws and regulations. (Last updated: June 2024)
