This refresher training is an overview of food safety and handler responsibilities in Illinois, covering key topics such as food handler roles, regulations, safety hazards, and food handling best practices. By the end of the course, participants will be equipped with knowledge of food safety risks, proper handling techniques, and the necessary hygiene practices to prevent contamination. Participants will learn about food safety challenges, cleaning and sanitizing in food operations, and crisis management in emergencies like power outages and floods.
