Course overview
This refresher course provides an overview of key concepts related to the safe handling and transportation of hazardous materials in compliance with US Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Topics include identifying hazardous materials, the nine DOT hazard classes, the roles of OSHA, DOT, and USEPA, and safe shipping procedures. Learners will review the use of the Hazardous Materials Table, placarding, and performance packaging codes, along with emergency response information and safety practices.
