Want to produce content that can be published anywhere or use a mobile learning platform that can deliver any content?
The reaction to our award winning, micro learning platform has exceeded all our expectations. We were inundated with requests and suggestions but the most common was to be able to utilize SCORM files produced in other tools as well as export SC Training (formerly EdApp) lessons in the same way.
We are pleased to announce this feature is now available.
This means that you can use SC Training (formerly EdApp) to produce microlearning content for any SCORM conformant LMS. Similarly, you can import responsive learning content for use within SC Training (formerly EdApp).
SCORM stands for “Sharable Content Object Reference Model.” It is a set of technical standards that define how online learning content and Learning Management Systems (LMS) communicate with each other. SCORM stands for these common set of standards to make sure that the content you create on SC Training (formerly EdApp) can be reused in different systems and contexts, such as other free learning software – an integration that with SCORM happens seamlessly, simply and efficiently.
With SCORM now supported, any microlearning content produced with SC Training (formerly EdApp) is not bound to our LMS. Instead, SC Training (formerly EdApp) enables you to develop beautiful learning content that can be used in many different systems and situations without modification. Whilst we are confident no other system can enagage your learner like SC Training (formerly EdApp) can, it is reassuring to know that your content can live anywhere.
No one enjoys repeating work that has already been done. Regardless if you’ve purchased off-the-shelf SCORM content or you’ve authored it yourself using an alternative Authoring Tool, you can trust SC Training (formerly EdApp) to deliver your responsive SCORM 1.2 learning.
This will provide you full access to all of the platforms great features such as prizing and gamification, in combination with the advantageous affects a mobile-first design brings – content delivered directly to your learners palms that is accessible anywhere, anytime.
Importing your SCORM content is as simple as a click of a button. Upon creating a new lesson, simply click on ‘SCORM’ in the lesson menu and drag your SCORM file across or select a file to upload.
Exporting your learning content is just as easy. From the Lesson Dashboard, click ‘Download SCORM Package’ to export your mobile responsive, scoring enabled microlesson content.
This is an exciting feature we are thrilled to bring to the SC Training (formerly EdApp) community. SCORM compliancy will bring endless possibilities, and we look forward to seeing what you do with it.
